ROUGH DETAILS -- Waiting on my itinerary from the registration to give full details
Teen seminar and youth group attendees
Here is what I know so far, and more is coming. We have 20-24 teens saying they are going. Cost of the whole trip is $350 - $400 depending on how much spending money you want to bring. $350 will do.
Conference: $120
Bus: $125 (we are fundraising to help you off set this!)
Food, misc: $45 (very, very minimum) Try to have $100 or more and you will come home with change and a souvenir. But, we can squeak by with $45.
Total: $300-400
LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING! Register at www.UU-UNO.org for the conference for $120. Let me know when you do. Don't wait long or the price goes up! Talk to me if that $ is beyond your means. YOUR REGISTRATION IS YOUR COMMITMENT, AND ONLY THEN WILL I SAVE A SPOT ON THE BUS FOR YOU. Fundraise and/or be prepared for the rest of the cost.. (This breaks down for bus of $125, food up, food back and maybe a meal or two up there. Plus night time money for fun.) Bus money will be due by late March (remember, this assumes you have registered online to reserve your bus slot). You carry the rest of the $ you raised. Additional spending money is suggested but not required (souvenirs, starbucks, etc.). We leave evening of April 7th
(lfiguring around 5 PM) and return April 11th around 2:30 PM. Most of Saturday is sight-seeing. Thank your church members. They, and former members, are the ones funding this grant. XOXOXO
Adult seminar attendees
LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING! We are filling our bus seats first come, first serve. Register at www.UU-UNO.org for the conference for $285 (early bird rate). Let me know when you do (you can just forward your emailed confirmation my way). Don't wait long or the price goes up! Talk to me if that $ is beyond your means. Then send a check to GUUF for $125 for the bus by March 24th (memo -- UU-UNO bus). Lodging, subways, spending $, etc. are your responsibility. See the website for suggestions. I will post a projected itinerary soon so you can budget. Be prepared to stay up late April 10th as we will get on the bus to come home around midnight Saturday night. That gives us a chance to site see Saturday from noon to midnight.
Know I will be with the youth. We are offering the chance for adults to take a trip, but I will not be a trip guide. I am offering assistance in getting you up there and back/ and keeping you informed as to what to expect. Why take the bus? No security check, no airport parking worries, no extra baggage fee, and a great price, not to mention UU teen and adult friends all around you!
